Origins' Manual of Appropriate Pharmacotherapies® (MAPs®) provides hospice with a cost-effective, evidenced based formulary to help control drug costs and promote consistent prescribing habits among hospice staff.  The straightforward format makes coverage determination simple and provides a wide variety of medications that are proven options at a fiscally responsible cost to hospice.  Regularly updated to reflect changes in drug availability, documented efficacy, and cost, MAPs® ensures that hospice clients do not need to worry about industry changes.  To further control pharmaceutical expenses, when costly, non-formulary medications are requested as covered by hospice, customizable price limits alert hospice of high cost medications prior to them being dispensed. 

To maintain compliance with CoPs and to meet the individual needs of each hospice and patient, Origins allows clients to individualize medication coverage at various levels as they see fit.
